The GRE, or Graduate Record Examinations, is a standardized test that is widely used for graduate school admissions. It is a computer-based test that measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing skills. The GRE is offered year-round at test centers around the world.
The GRE test is undergoing several enhancements, which will be implemented on September 22, 2023. The most significant enhancement is that the test will be shortened from just under 4 hours to just under 2 hours.
This will be achieved by reducing the number of questions in the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections, and by eliminating the unscored section and scheduled break. Another enhancement is that GRE scores will be delivered faster.
Currently, it takes 10-15 calendar days for GRE scores to be delivered. After the enhancements are implemented, GRE scores will be delivered within 8-10 calendar days.
